About me

Welcome to my website!

My name is Daniel, a Postdoc affiliated with the Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS). I'm fascinated by chromosomes and the interplay between genetic and epigenetic factors during cancer progression.

My projects include: 1) The analysis of single-nucleus CUT&RUN to profile histone modifications at single-cell level to investigate the role of epigenetic heterogeneity in primary and progressed head and neck cancer (HNSC) and 2) Studying the role of focal amplifications in mediating squamous cancer progression. As a hybrid scientist, I use both dry- and wetlab techniques in these projects. Please see my research page for more details!

A nomad originally from Indonesia, I've also lived in the Netherlands (~16y) and the UK (~2y) before coming to Singapore. Besides doing research, I enjoy reading the Bible, going for walks, and culture trips.
